Considering all the previous work carried out by Raven's Business Design team and everything identified regarding the pillars of experience and value proposition, detailing the comprehensive and empathetic solution was necessary to simplify end-of-life planning.
Based on the value proposition defined by Raven’s Business Design team, we were able to translate, detail, and define each experience and interface within the platform to address decisions during challenging times. Always bearing in mind the defined pillars and benchmarking efforts, we delved into operational items to ensure the implementation of a platform that only serves its clients but is also easily manageable by Afterlife’s employees (the parent company of Kevura). We established a style guide, design system, tone of voice, user journey tasks, user story mapping, and service blueprint for the solution and on the tech side, we defined a technical architecture that is scalable, ensuring long term scalability of the platform. Following this, we defined the user interface for each screen based on the experience to be effectively developed by the technical team that implemented the full cloud solution.
We managed to achieve the outstanding implementation from scratch of a website platform hosted in cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform) in less than 5 months. This product allowed users to customize their end-of-life solution: whether they want to be cremated, ashes returned to their loved ones, or buried in a cemetery or the body directly buried in a final place of rest. These options were available in two different journeys: At-Need and Pre-Need, finalizing both journeys with the stripe checkout.
